Magdalena Rey-Bielecka
I graduated in Polish Studies (Polish Department) from Warsaw University and completed postgraduate studies in Editing at the Institute of Applied Polish Studies of Warsaw University. My master's thesis was devoted to the role of the governess in homeschooling as depicted in Polish 18th century and Pre-romanticism literature. Since 2006, I have been working as a Polish language teacher in a private primary school in Kabaty, Warsaw. Since I have my own children as well, every day I experience the ups and downs of parenthood, and I have gotten to know the education system also from the parent's perspective.
As a teacher of Polish as a foreign language, I am familiar with the specific needs when working with people of different cultural origins. I am the author of one of the units of "Start 1", a Polish as a foreign language textbook.
My passion for languages and my interest in people make teaching a great adventure for me. However, I also like working in the silence of a library, tracking full stops and commas...
